The search for Daniel Reoch is continuing with efforts from the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappRCMP and ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappSearch and Rescue.
Reoch is a 29-year-old Indigenous man. He is 5'9, 150 lbs. and has short brown hair and brown eyes. A family member contacted the RCMP on Jan. 7, after he had not been heard from since before Christmas. His family said this is unusual for Reoch.
"Our Lewis family, the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappNation and the community as a whole are extremely concerned as to the whereabouts of Daniel Reoch. The ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappRCMP released a timeline of Reoch's last whereabouts. He was last seen on the rear deck of a home in the 6500 block of ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappValley Road, when he walked off the deck and onto a trail toward Lewis Drive at 1 a.m. on Nov. 26.
Later that day, his vehicle was reported abandoned and has since been seized by ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappRCMP.
After the RCMP were unable to locate Reoch during wellbeing checks, they have been following leads and working with ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappNation, Integrated First Nations Unit, BC Police Missing Persons Centre and ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappSAR. The police have conducted searches of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappValley and Paradise Valley area with the help of SAR.

"ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappRCMP along with the Sea to Sky General Investigations Unit has been investigating all leads and avenues to locate Daniel and at this stage, there is no evidence of foul play," Sgt. Jeff Shore said in a Jan. 14 press release.Ìý "We are doing all we can to bring Daniel home but each day that passes brings a growing concern for his wellbeing."
In the statement, it says the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµappRCMP contacted the e because police officers interacted with Reoch the day before he was last seen. The IIO is a civilian-led oversight board that looks into police interactions with civilians.
